ECE Planning
On behalf of Saltdean United Football Club, ECE Planning secured unanimous planning approval from Brighton & Hove City Council for the redevelopment of the club’s facilities, including a new 3G artificial pitch, spectator stand, and modern clubhouse. Situated adjacent to the South Downs National Park, the scheme required a sensitive and well-considered planning strategy.
ECE Planning led the project from inception, including early engagement with the Council through Pre-Application discussions to confirm the scope of supporting assessments and design parameters. The scheme demonstrated a net biodiversity gain and promoted inclusive access to sport for all age groups and genders.
Working closely with the client team, ECE coordinated the consultants, managed planning risks, and facilitated communication between team stakeholders. The approach ensured alignment with local and national planning policy while addressing ecological, landscape, and accessibility.
ECE’s proactive and professional management was instrumental in securing consent for this sustainable, community-focused legacy project.
