Vista Mare, West Parade

ECE Architecture
A contemporary Art Deco residence on Worthing’s seafront, Vista Mare elevates coastal living with a sleek, horizontal expression, generous balconies, and refined detailing that celebrates sea views.
On West Parade beside Marine Gardens, Vista Mare draws on local Art Deco and Art Moderne cues. We translated this heritage into a contemporary, efficient building that embraces the coast, maximises views, and enhances its setting.

The architecture is defined by a horizontal rhythm: projecting bays, overhangs, and raised façade treatments for depth and shade. Fine metalwork handrails and narrow-sightline windows extend the linear language. Generous south-facing balconies expand living spaces towards the sea, delivering a crisp, enduring coastal character.
A prominent seafront required nuance and rigour. We balanced heritage, amenity, and marine exposure with robust detailing and buildability. Across all RIBA Stages, our integrated team refined junctions and façades to resist coastal conditions, ensuring design intent became durable reality.

Everyday life at the water’s edge is prioritised: outlook, natural light, and outdoor amenity. The ground-level interface complements Marine Gardens and West Parade, strengthening the promenade with an elegant, human-scaled frontage.

Vista Mare reimagines Art Deco on Worthing’s shoreline, uniting design excellence with rigorous delivery – an assured, contextual landmark that celebrates the sea and elevates daily living on West Parade.
