ECE Group is delighted to announce a round of promotions across our practices, celebrated at our recent Summer Team Meeting and BBQ.

The promotions come halfway through a successful year for the group, which has seen significant growth across our portfolio and the continued expansion of our team to 115 professionals across the three companies, ECE Architecture, ECE Planning and ECE Westworks.

Promotions across ECE Group

At ECE Architecture, John Barkley has been promoted to Associate Architect. John joined ECE in 2020 as a Senior Architect after relocating from Edinburgh, where he had worked on projects throughout the UK. Since joining, he has maintained a pivotal role in many design-led residential projects, including Port Loop, and Orchard Gardens.

At ECE Planning, two promotions recognise outstanding contributions to the team. Megan Smith, who joined in 2022 and recently achieved her MRTPI chartered status, has been promoted to Associate Planner. Saskia Lower, who joined as a Graduate Planner in 2021, advances to Senior Planner, earning recognition from clients who consistently praise her exceptional attention to detail and unwavering determination. Both planners have demonstrated remarkable skill in navigating complex planning projects.

ECE Westworks celebrates three promotions. Sian Smith, who joined the practice in 2023, advances to Associate Architect. Jo Robertson, who has been with the team since 2021, has been promoted to Senior Technologist. Cleo Kyriacou, who also joined Westworks in 2021, takes on the role of Senior Architect. Together, they have been instrumental in strengthening our technical delivery and design excellence.

These promotions reflect our commitment to nurturing talent and rewarding excellence as we continue our mission to create exceptional spaces built on creativity, commerciality, and technical integrity. The strength of our team has enabled us to maintain our position as an AJ100 practice and to further establish our reputation across the education, residential, urban living, student living, and commercial sectors.
