Centurion Way
Marlows to Cocking

Introduction
The South Downs National Park, working with ECE Planning and Project Centre, are bringing forward proposals for enhancements to the Centurion Way recreational shared-use path in the vicinity of Cocking Hill.
Our aim is to connect and enhance the route of Centurion Way between the Marlows and Cocking Hill Farm, improving accessibility and the general experience for those using the path.
We want local insight to genuinely inform these proposals, and are hosting an Online Public Consultation to share our thinking and gain your views as we shape how the proposal evolves.
The Consultation Process
Following commencement of works on other sections of the Centurion Way route, we are now seeking views from the local community, users, and stakeholders on the section from Marlows to Cocking.
Our objective is to gain local insight to genuinely inform the implementation of this section of Centurion Way. We are sharing these details now so that the community has the opportunity to understand our intentions and contribute their views at this crucial stage of the project.
How to share your views
The Consultation will be open from 13th – 26th October. An online feedback form is available below for you to share your views on the scheme.
The Proposals
The current proposals entail an altered alignment and configuration to avoid extensive engineering works. While the originally approved scheme required considerable engineering in this location, a more sympathetic solution is being pursued by these current proposals that still retains the quality of access achieved on the rest of the route.
A pdf document detailing the proposals is available below. We encourage you to look through the proposals before providing your feedback.
Feedback Form
We welcome your feedback on the proposals and encourage you to fill out the adjacent from.
