ECE Planning
ECE Planning worked on behalf of Osborne Developments to secure Reserved Matters planning approval and manage the discharge of planning condition/S106 obligations to help deliver the redevelopment of former Greater Brighton Metropolitan College buildings on land east of Pelham Street, Brighton for a flatted scheme of 135 units. The land formed part of the Chichester College Group Central Brighton Campus redevelopment and was disposed of to fund the wider College improvement works.
ECE Planning worked with the client and led a multidisciplinary consultant team through the detailed design and Pre Application process to secure Reserved Matters planning permission from Brighton & Hove City Council for the delivery of 135 new residential units. The buildings on site are set over varying heights to a maximum of 6 storeys and include 4no. town houses, 4no. maisonettes and 4no. garden flats within the predominantly flatted development in the heart of the City centre.

The development includes new vehicular and pedestrian/cycle accesses from Pelham Street and Cheapside, car and cycle parking and amenity space in the form of private amenity space (balconies, gardens) and open space (communal roof terrace and large areas of public open space) alongside communal lounge and dry gym.
Prior to, and throughout the construction process ECE Planning continued to lead the consultant team through the discharge of planning conditions and S106 obligations and assist in the delivery of this prominent and high quality development that provides for 135 new homes for the City’s residents.
