ECE Planning
Working alongside our longstanding client, Roffey Homes, ECE Planning successfully secured consent for the demolition of a former nurses’ accommodation block and the development of a new residential scheme comprising 30 high-quality apartments for residents aged 65 and over.
Located within a Conservation Area and surrounded by mature trees, the site required sensitive architectural and planning consideration; particularly in addressing privacy concerns raised by neighbouring properties.
The design reflects the client’s vision to create a landmark scheme that not only revitalises the site but also enhances the surrounding context. Each apartment benefits from private external amenity space, most with balconies or terraces offering attractive views, and ground-floor apartments enjoying private gardens.
ECE Planning led the project through two planning applications, public consultation, and an appeal, to gain consent for this transformative and contextually responsive development in Worthing.
