Prestage Place is a major development that will deliver new homes in the heart of Poplar.

This proposal will support the regeneration of an underutilised brownfield site whilst facilitating public realm enhancements around Blackwall Station including an urban park for the community.

The site layout consists of four blocks ranging from 39 to 8 storeys, accommodating 446 No homes. The scheme will provide 50% affordable housing by habitable room that includes a mix of one, two, three and four bed affordable homes.

The external spaces have been considered to provide a mix of uses, character areas and functions that all knit together as one cohesive public realm. A central ‘greenspine’ provides the backbone to the development, with a strong pedestrian link between the DLR and Naval Row, whilst also supporting meaningful pedestrian connections to the residential buildings.

The public realm approach is centred on providing an urban parkland setting, where the buildings sit within a series of linked ‘green’ spaces. The heart of our approach to public space will be good public realm and landscape design that creates spaces for people and nature, rather than just roads.

Finally the scheme delivers a striking landmark for the whole regeneration area.
