ECE Planning
Working on behalf of long-standing client Roffey Homes, ECE Planning led the planning process for the residential redevelopment of a prominent seafront site in Worthing, West Sussex. The scheme, designed in collaboration with ECE Architecture, delivered 13 high-quality apartments within a landmark building ranging from two to four storeys.
ECE Planning were appointed as lead consultants, managing the project from inception through to the submission of a full planning application. Early and continued engagement with Worthing Borough Council played a critical role, with ECE Planning steering the proposals through a comprehensive pre-application process, including detailed discussions with planning officers and specialist consultees.
Alongside technical coordination, ECE Planning led a programme of public consultation events, ensuring that community feedback informed the design evolution. The strategy focused on demonstrating the site’s potential to contribute to local housing supply, enhance the townscape, and make efficient use of previously developed land.
The appeal was approved following submission in December 2014, and the development has since been successfully completed.
